I Want

I'm going to the shops today

With Mum to buy the bread.

I hope we get to see the toys;

"Mum did you hear what I just said".

I want to go into the shop

With all the trucks and diggers.

I want to run through all the aisles

And get an action figure.

I want that fluffy dog and ball

And to try out that new scooter.

I want to see the puzzles too

And try that talking computer.

"Mum!" You're not listening to what I want

Can't you see I'm desperate here.

I'm going to have to yell real loud

So someone will finally hear.

"I WANT I WANT I WANT" I yell

Will someone answer me soon.

Mum's got that angry look in her eyes

I'm getting the wooden spoon.

We've got the bread we're going home

Mum's being very quiet

So I say one more thing to Mum

That toy back there, "Can I buy it?"
