Stepping Out
As we step out in faith again,
This time we're more prepared.
We're obeying God,
Reaching for dreams.
This time we're not so scared.
Our childrens lives are ours-
To love,
To teach,
To guide.
The Lord is near in every step,
His grace can't be denied.
Some may not understand the change,
It's against societies way.
It's God who understands the why's,
We just have to obey.
So as we walk out our new role,
Of teacher to our child,
I know who we will follow first,
And on who our life is styled.
At times we do not understand,
All God wants us to be,
The reasons, now are not so clear.
In time He'll let us see.
We're stepping out,
We're trusting God,
With conviction we must stand.
And when it all looks difficult,
We'll humbly take His hand.
