Be Prepared.
We began to take a step,
A step of faith in God.
We forgot about the devil,
How we did is very odd !
We just went along obedient,
Making decisions in our life.
Then a storm started erupting,
A storm of hate and strife.
At first it hit us hard,
We were taken by surprise.
Until we looked to Jesus,
Then He opened up our eyes.
'Look to Me, don't be dismayed,
Keep focussed on your call'
The storm is from the enemy,
Stay close and you'll stand tall.'
'You know your step of faith is good,
For your children and your life,
Be prepared and don't look back,
Or you'll end up like Lot's wife.'
We know God's plan is sovereign,
Though at times we seem so scared.
Our fight is not with flesh and blood,
We just need to be prepared.
So we should guard ourselves,
With our shield of faith.
Clothe ourselves in love.
Be as wise as a serpent,
And as gentle as a dove.
