You're Beautiful
I hear you say you don't look good
You're disappointed in your hair.
You spend hundreds on your make up
And the clothes you want to wear.
Then you say you're over weight
And want to be size ten.
You walk past other ladies
And compare yourself to them.
'You're beautiful', I always say.
But you don't seem to hear.
'I made you just the way you are'
Oh, please incline your ear.
Those precious lines upon your face
I put them there for me.
You're made in my own image,
When will you finally see?
You walk just like a princess.
Your voice is the loveliest sound.
Your hair, I chose that colour.
Your skin, so smooth and brown.
You're beautiful with out those clothes
Or your make up on your eyes.
You are my pretty daughter.
Who you are, please don't despise.
My love, just come away with me.
I'll tell you what is true.
There's no other lady on the earth
As beautiful as you.
